Thank you to everyone who made the United Way of Humphreys County Stuff the Bus event so successful!  On Tuesday, August 4, deliveries were made to all the public schools in Humphreys County.  We wish to thank Walmart, who let us use their space, the Waverly and McEwen Cheerleaders, who did a great job of encouraging customers to support the effort, the School Transportation Department, who supplied us an actual bus, and all the volunteers from our local agencies and United Way for helping us raise over $2,000 for school supplies and collect enough items to hopefully make a dent in the needs of the teachers and students.  The money raised is used to purchase items not collected during the event that teachers would need to purchase themselves.   Have a great school year! 

Donors: You may choose to give specifically to our Stuff the Bus program at our annual “Stuff the Bus” event or designate directly to the initiative throughout the year.

100% of donations are used to give students the supplies they need to succeed in school. Studies have proven that having access to basic school supplies increases a child’s confidence, which in-turn increases their ability to learn more.
